Día 2

Man, I can't believe it's already been two days. I can definitely say that it's been crazy. I'm sitting here right now with the two other girls staying with my host family. My actual roommate is Megan who's a graduate student from University of Florida studying Business and Spanish. She's advanced which helps out a lot communicating with the host family. The other exchange girl at the house is Vivian who's an undergrad from Minnesota studying International Business, too. We're all being big dorks and quietly typing away on our computers because we finally have our internet! lol.

But my host family is great! The mom is just now (as in literally today) staying home so she can better take care of us and her three kids. She's really excited to have us here and she and her family have been more than welcoming. She has three kids - Lily is a freshman at Monterrey Tech and she's been amazing at helping translate for us. I may not learn the language as well with as much help as she's willing to give, but at least I'll be able to understand what's going on. Suzanna is 15 yrs old in high school and she's fairly quiet, but still wanting to learn English just like the rest of the family. The youngest is Roberto who's 14 yrs old and he's taller than me. (I think I should just expect that though :P). He was really cool...helping me bring my suitcases in, but he's also pretty quiet because he doesn't know English that well. But hey, that's cool with me! That's why I'm here! lol. The dad works late, but he's been cool the couple of times I talked with him. He actually help me set up my internet tonight.

Dinner will be soon which is waaaay late for me and I'm already getting tired which definitely shows how much of an old lady I am :). So I don't know how much time I have to keep blogging. But anywho...

But yes the past couple of days have been crazy. It was even crazy before that because I flew in from Charleston, SC after spending my 10 days or so with Kristofer on Jan. 4 and then spent time with my family as I rushed to pack and get everything done before flying out to Mexico just two days later.

actually, I need to go :(. My love is online so no question about what I'm doing and dinner in 5 minutes. Hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you soon!

un abrazo y un beso,
Bethany
